Changdao Island is located in the sea north of Penglai City, praised as “Fairy Mountain in the Sea”, renowned as “land of abalones, scallops and kelps in China”.
    It consists of 32 large or small islands with different features, including Cheyou Island, Dazhushan Island, Xiaozhushan Island, Daheishan Island, Xiaoheishan Island, Tuoji Island, Miao Island, etc. Cheyou Island is the kingdom of birds, otherwise name is “Wangniao Island”. Dazhusha Island and Xiaozhushan Island are famed for their bamboo. Daheishan and Xiaoheishan Islands, paradise of snakes, are the second largest snake island in China. Tuoji Island is the world of rocks.
    Changdao Island is famous for mirages phenomenon appear most frequently, which occurs especially after rainfall in July and August, can be regarded as natural wonders without equals in the world.
